Over the last several years I have been involved in a local charity, FAR Therapeutic Arts & Therapy. FAR provides services for people with special needs, any age, and any diagnosis.
Their website states:
“We work with clients of all ages, introducing them to new activities and experiences, helping them gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and showing them new ways to communicate how they feel.”
Every year FAR clients put on a stage performance called Sing Out 4 Kids. It’s mind-blowing!
Despite their challenges, the FAR clients get up on a stage and perform their hearts out. And every year, I’m dumbfounded at how much they excel. It’s certainly way beyond anything that I could do.
