Professional On-Site Headshots for a Michigan Team

RouteOne needed updated professional headshots for employees while maintaining a consistent look across the team.

Hugh Anderson Photography provided an on-site headshot studio, allowing employees to be photographed conveniently at the workplace while producing polished, consistent portraits suitable for company websites, LinkedIn profiles, marketing materials, and internal communications.

The Assignment

The goal was straightforward: create professional corporate headshots that looked consistent across the organization while making the photography process easy for employees.

The project included:

Bringing the studio directly to RouteOne meant employees could be photographed efficiently without traveling to an outside studio or spending significant time away from their workday.

 Consistent Corporate Headshots

Consistency is particularly important when employee portraits are displayed together on company websites, directories, presentations, and other corporate materials.

Each person was photographed using the same lighting, background, camera position, and general composition while still allowing enough individual direction to create a natural portrait.

Rather than approaching the sessions as a production line, I worked individually with each employee on posture, positioning, and expression.

The result was a collection of headshots that feels cohesive as a group while allowing each person to look comfortable and approachable.

An Efficient On-Site Headshot Studio

For companies photographing multiple employees, minimizing disruption to the working day is an important part of the assignment.

The mobile studio was set up at RouteOne’s location so employees could arrive at their scheduled time, be photographed, and return to work quickly.

All of the necessary studio equipment — professional lighting, background, cameras, and tethering equipment — was brought on-site.

This approach provides the quality and consistency of a studio headshot without requiring an entire team to travel to a photography studio.

Photography Across Multiple Sessions

RouteOne’s headshots were completed across more than one photography session.

Maintaining the same photographic approach between sessions meant the newer portraits could sit naturally alongside the existing RouteOne corporate headshots.

Lighting, background tone, framing, camera position, and post-production were carefully matched so the finished photographs maintained a consistent visual identity.

This is particularly useful for companies whose teams change or grow over time. New employees can be photographed later without having to recreate the entire company headshot library.

Professional Retouching and Delivery

Following each session, the selected portraits were professionally retouched while maintaining a natural appearance.

Retouching focused on creating a polished finished photograph without making employees look artificial or excessively edited.
