Painted Portraits From Photographs
Taking a photograph and turning it into a painting creates a stunning improvement on the original work. This is a time intensive process, and involves overpainting every single pixel of the original image with digitally, with an artists pen and tablet.
In the end, rather than having a single painted canvas, you end up with a painted digital file, from which you can print multiple canvasses, at whatever size suits.
The style can vary too. Perhaps the preference is to create a subtle painterly look, or as in the case of the first image below, a more definite painted style. The choice is yours.
When printed to canvas you have a painting that will hang beautifully on any wall, and should it ever get damaged, you have the security of a back up file from which to reproduce.
