Wedding sneak peek - Lauren & Luke.
The weather threatened us a little on Lauren & Luke's wedding day - but in the end, all was well.
Luke was first to be photographed at the home of his parents. Oh my, it was raining, and the light was very low. Still, some great groom photos would come of the time with the groom. He just couldn't be taken outside for anything.
Arriving at the next house to photograph Lauren, the first thing that I spotted was a line of cowboy boots - all the girls would be wearing these, including the bride. Awesome! It's these details that can set things apart when it comes to the photography, something a little different than normal.
The house was large, and had beautiful window light flooding in through large windows, especially now that the rain had abated. A wedding photographers dream.
The First Look.
Once Lauren was ready, there was a little challenge to deal with - the First Look.
The normal practice for me is to have the groom stand somewhere scenic, and have the bride approach him from behind, then turn him around for the big reveal. But the grass was really soggy, bordering on muddy. What to do?
It was decided that Lauren would be the one placed in position, and Luke would walk to her. Towels were laid on the grass, and Lauren hiked her dress up and walked to them. Standing her on the towels, her dress was arranged in a way that it wasn't obvious what was going on. Luke then walked to his bride, turn here around, and it was huge smiles all around.
Gifts were exchanged, family and bridal party people got emotional, and we nailed some nice photographs. Perfect.
Glen Oaks Country Club.
The reception was held at Glen Oaks Country Club. I have worked there before, and they always do a great job. The food was particularly good. A lovely venue to hold your wedding reception, or even your entire wedding.
Beautiful bride, handsome groom, great bridal party, and lovely families. It all combines to create the perfect wedding.
Enjoy this wedding sneak peek.
